A very nice place with delicious home-cooked food and friendly service. I walked by so many times and regret that I just visited now. The duck and mushroom soup are divine, highly recommend!!!
It was our first visit, and we were looking for the best home-style bistro with such 'grandma's' home food (of course, it's not an insult, but rather an asset). It was something delicious! We will be back! Highly recommended for the taste and hospitality.
The best food in town! Home dishes, large portions, I have never been disappointed. We come with the whole family, even my older daughter asks when we will eat at your place (my son doesn't speak yet, but he will probably share her opinion soon). Thank you for the extra plate every time. Friendly service, the same people every time, you feel like visiting friends. We are far away now, but still try to visit as often as we can. Recommend!
If you are looking for very good home dinners, I definitely recommend Flavors of Our Moms. Every time the food was excellent.
We stumbled upon Flavors of Our Moms on New Year's Eve, looking for a place where we could eat tasty, homey, and inexpensive food. And that's exactly what it was! It was very tasty, the portions are huge as seen in the pictures, and the prices are very reasonable for today's times :) The only thing we regret is how poorly visible the place is, and many people might not see the restaurant. I warmly recommend this restaurant, the staff is very nice and cheerful.
The service is fine, but I don’t recommend the food. I ordered a leg in lemon sauce, which turned out to taste like a regular stew, and it was not good. The pork chops had more breading than meat. The carrot with pea dish was also mediocre. Unfortunately, while the food used to be tasty, the kitchen has deteriorated significantly over the years. I do not recommend!!!
How to put it... if someone expects a restaurant with a waiter in a white shirt, they are mistaken. This is a typical home eatery where you will get a good homemade meal. The food is fresh, and the menu changes often. Whenever I'm in the area, I often drop by... it's nice that soup is included in the set.:]
My previous opinion below is from over 5 years ago. Today (03.2023) I am updating it.nnIn the last 7 days, I have ordered the dish of the day several times, which consists of soup and a main dish. Most often, I had breaded chicken breast with mashed potatoes (very tasty). Once I had poultry meatballs with dill sauce (average, wouldn't order it again). The sides vary, sometimes it’s carrot with peas, other times salads (unfortunately, once we ordered carrots with peas and got some salad based on Chinese cabbage, which not only was average, but its liquid spilled over the potatoes). 3 times we ordered chicken broth, 2 times tomato soup.nLarge portions.nnMost dishes were good. Plus, that mishap with the poor salad. I maintain a rating of 4. If the dish of the day included grilled chicken breast (rather than everything being breaded), my partner would order more often.nnA big minus is that the main dishes are packed in styrofoam, which is not recyclable. These containers are not airtight (spills of sauces or liquids from salads), and too hot meat can melt the styrofoam. I am not convinced by the argument that styrofoam keeps food warm. In my opinion, most people will either eat before it cools down or will reheat it at home anyway.nI dream of places like this using packaging that can be reused at home, or at least the option of packing in one’s own containers.nBecause after these few orders (I was sick, didn’t cook), the amount of styrofoam and plastic (plus cling film) over 7 days made me dizzy.nnAnd one more thing. Why do almost every place serve broth (or other soups) with noodles that are this type, and not some other? Noodles, even broken ones, are so hard to put on a spoon, and when they fall back, broth splashes everywhere... there are so many cool pasta shapes :Dnn_______________n(2017/2018?) My previous opinion is below. I deducted one point because the quality of the dishes has clearly dropped. I've had the daily sets a few times and it’s no longer what it was at the beginning.n______________nnMy taste buds are delighted! I went out of curiosity, rather expecting low quality, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the offered dishes. The selection is small, but that’s a plus because it should always be fresh. Soup + 2nd dish for 15 PLN, 8 pierogi for 11 PLN, soup alone for 6 PLN. The pierogi are amazing, not frozen! The savory ones are really tasty, and the dessert ones have whole fruits (currently raspberries and strawberries). It's really worth it. The place has been operating for a short time, and during our visit, all the tables were full; that probably speaks volumes.
Delicious home dinners just like mom makes, the tomato soup is the best I have ever had ♥️ the second dish was a tasty goulash. And it’s worth trying the delicious liver, as the gentleman says, it’s the best in Poznań
Polish cuisine in its classic version, delicious food, large portions, low prices. An ideal option for a quick lunch on-site or takeaway, I recommend calling and ordering in advance.
