I'm writing this review with great sadness and a heavy heart because I traveled from Warsaw to try the specialty for St. Martin's Day, which is coffee inspired by the St. Martin croissant. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. The coffee tasted like orange. I couldn't detect the other ingredients, like poppy seeds, as if they weren't there... And the price for such a limited coffee was 24 PLN . The coffee itself was good, I can't deny that. However, it was far from what it was supposed to be .
I could write an epic poem about this café in a Polish alexandrine meter, blending a national coffee epic with noble tales. But for what purpose? Who would read such a beautiful piece in a world where no one wants to read? Perhaps there is still hope among the nation? I don't know, but I was meant to write about the café, not the world. So, two sentences from me. Maybe three.nIn the café, it’s all about the coffee, not the food or pastries, although they are important too. And the coffee here? How to describe it? It’s coffee that requires a moment of attention, respect, perhaps even contemplation. And the place? Ah, the place is the true essence of Berlin’s nonchalance – raw walls, lamps, old tables that have witnessed many conversations about life, art, and existential dilemmas.nThis is not just a regular café. It’s a place where coffee is a ritual, and conversations flow as freely as jazz improvisation in the basements of Kreuzberg. Will I return? Absolutely. Because where there is coffee, there people find peace and a flavor that lingers in memory for a long time.
The coffee was really good. I was a bit surprised that it had been pre-made and poured from a thermos. The atmosphere inside is nice. Unfortunately, the service was one of the worst I've encountered in a long time. Zero interest in the customer. No suggestions, and a very negative attitude. Maybe the barista was just having a bad day :)
The best flat white with oat milk I've ever had in my life. The lady who works there knows what she's doing. Highly recommend!
Delicious coffee, but the bathroom was a mess; the floor was soaked, and paper was spilling from the bin, there was dirt on the tables, and the staff behaved as if they were there under duress. There was no one else there but us, so it’s not like there wasn't time to clean. Good coffee alone won’t compensate for such a mess.
A very nice visit to the café. Very good quality specialty coffee (I had the opportunity to try coffee from India on a drip for the first time). The Basque cheesecake and the one with white chocolate were tasty. The dedicated milk for the cappuccino was excellent. I will definitely return when I'm in the area.
I ordered African and South American (Columbia) coffee for a pour over. In the fruity African coffee, I initially noted strong citrus notes, but these faded after a few days. The beans were small, over-roasted, and unfortunately had many defects. The Columbia was somewhat more in line with the vendor's recommendation, as it was of better quality (probably also due to the variety). The beans were large, with practically no defects. The acidity was low – but the coffee seemed to act like the Harlem Globetrotters. I adjusted the proportions, water, and filter, also played with the temperature and grinder (but it's understood that chemex is chemex), but couldn’t find the supposed chocolate notes. A cupping with three experimental samples also failed. Important: there is no roasting date on the coffee!!! nAnd all this for 0.5 kg of coffee for 150 PLNnnQuite weak.
The coffee was very good. It’s a pity there was nothing sweet to go with it, but it was still worth it.
I liked the coffee in this café. The espresso with those beans carries its flavor even in the cappuccino. The atmosphere isn’t really my style. Good music and adequate service.
Wonderful coffee with oat milk, one of the best in Poznań, I look forward to returning.
