The place is about a 5-minute walk from the old market.nInside there's a huge space, one of the larger venues I have seen in a while.nnPrices are standard for a pancake house. I ordered a pancake with mascarpone, pistachio cream, and forest fruits. As part of the set, you can choose one sauce (I chose the creamy one).nThe price was 28 PLN. The waiting time was about 35 minutes.nnAs soon as I received my order, the FOREST FRUITS stood out as being one of the main elements of the dish. They were served as a sauce, not fresh, real fruits.nThe PISTACHIO CREAM was just lightly spread on top. A very small, barely noticeable amount, considering it's one of the main ingredients.nMost of the pancake was filled with MASCARPONE.nnRegarding the pancake itself, I can’t say anything bad. It was soft, elastic, and thin, holding its contents well.nThe mascarpone was good, but the amount was a bit excessive and rather dominant in flavor.nManekin is quite decent, though it's hard to enjoy due to the quantity.nnThe creamy sauce was just the plainest yogurt with a lot of sugar. Quite heavy to digest for that reason.nThe forest fruits were in the form of jam and processed fruits. Sour and sometimes sweetish, not quite fitting with the whole.nnConsidering everything, I can't fully recommend this place, even though it's clear the ingredients are of good quality. Unfortunately, the presentation and description of the dish on the menu is misleading. The quantity of key ingredients and their final appearance leave much to be desired. For now, mixed feelings; I hope something changes.
The service was super nice. The queue on Saturday was indeed quite long in front of Manekin (about 20 minutes). When we got in, I said that we were in a hurry to the cinema and had only an hour to order and eat. The waitress was very nice and took our order; we had food in 15 minutes, so great! I promised to leave a review on Google, so here I am :) The veggie pasta with chanterelles was mega tasty, the meat pancake with chicken - you could hardly taste the chanterelles, but there was a lot of chicken. However, the pancake with shawarma had a bit too many spices (unless that was the point) because you couldn't taste anything other than the perfectly seasoned meat.
I have been to this place 6 times in 1.5 years. Unfortunately, from year to year the food does not become tastier, and the administrators do not monitor the quantity of products on weekends, and often during lunch time many dishes from the menu are missing and you (guests) won't be able to try them.nnBut there are positives:n- They have kid-friendly zones 5/5.n- Good, quick service.
We were there for breakfast today. Coffee costs 6 PLN, breakfast about 15-18 PLN, huge portions. The restaurant is cozy, you can talk quietly. The service is top-notch, everything was served quickly. The kitchen is delicious and definitely exceeds the dish prices. In the end, we had a sweet pancake with pistachio cream and it was delicious! We highly recommend :)
I was very pleasantly welcomed . The service was simply fantastic! Polite, helpful, but not pushy - just excellent . The pancakes, as always at Manekin, were perfect. I have never been disappointed with them . They don't swim in grease; they are tasty and not dry. Additionally, I tried the new dish: garlic cream soup with chili and I can say it's my new favorite . I used to always have sour rye soup in bread, but this garlic cream - pure poetry! And the atmosphere of this place is very pleasant. There are many nice nooks where you can sit (of course, provided there are seats available, as this place is often full). Definitely worth recommending!
A brilliant place for breakfast; we immediately craved sightseeing ;) We highly recommend pancakes with fried eggs and bacon (cooked perfectly for me ), pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon, and chocolate pancakes with apples and raspberry mousse. The portions are really generous. The apple juice with spinach is amazing, as is the coffee and Witbier ;) Prices in relation to portions are 11/10 We paid 74 PLN for everything The service was very good; the waiting time was only a few minutes, although the waiter, perhaps out of habit, said it would be about 20 minutes ;) I read about issues with waiting times and quality, so I can completely debunk that, though it probably had to do with the fact that we were there on a Monday at 11:30 ;) but sometimes it's worth going during such calmer hours. The seats on the upper floor by the window are also close to the waiter service, so the waiting problem disappears ;)
I really like this place despite the legendary queues. The food is tasty, the service is nice, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend it as a budget-friendly option for eating out.
Delicious mushroom soup in bread, and of course wonderful savory pancakes. Prices are very attractive in relation to the served portions. The service is kind and very accurately recommends pancake specials. I recommend it to everyone!
Very good kebab pancake. I recommend. Served quickly. We waited for a table 15 minutes. It was bustling inside, but that’s to be expected; we were there on a Sunday during peak hours. The toilets are clean. Good winter tea, but a bit too little; a large mug had only half boiling water, maybe 150ml. Still, it was okay. Minus for not splitting the bill in half for a table of 6.
Food served quickly, tasty, fresh; it's worth eating before 11 when there's little crowd, after 11 the place starts filling up. I do not recommend the seat under the stairs in the alcove (in winter) as the door opening brings in cold air.
