Great place, with an atmosphere straight from the 80s PRL. Very friendly staff who can communicate well in English (we stopped by for a beer with a friend from ). I had a draft Livotel wheat beer, and my friend had Livotel with lemon, a Radler. The beer was good, prices are fine, atmosphere is super! I recommend this pub, especially on warm summer evenings. ☀️
I've been coming here for 20 years. A group of people just walked in and out because they wanted to hang out in the old days, but the seats and tables are plastic. And they were right. I'm looking around for Lenin, but he's not here. Some music from those times would also be nice occasionally. All the helmets and similar ZOMO artifacts have vanished. I remember how we used to have fun here with foreign nations; they were delighted with the atmosphere and decor. Improve it because there’s nothing to see or listen to now.
On Friday, my friends and I wanted to sit in the garden (5 people). My friends took a table while I went inside intending to use the restroom and buy a beer. The barmaid rudely shouted, 'Hey mate, where are you going?' I politely said I was going to the restroom and would buy a beer shortly. The barmaid told me I had to buy a beer first – so I had to stand in line. When I approached another person behind the bar, I was told she wasn’t serving anyone there.
For me, this place has been dying since the framed citizens Lenin and Stalin disappeared. I returned in search of the atmosphere, but I didn’t find it. I wondered why there were issues with the place for relieving oneself. I've read enough.
First of all, I want to say I have no complaints about the staff; I’ve been there several times, and they were always nice. The problem is when the owner shows up, who oddly thinks I should drink my beer faster. I came there to read a book with a pint of beer. After an hour, I was informed that I was drinking too slowly and should order something else. I want to point out that the place was practically empty.nI DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Friendly staff, a large selection of beers, and very tasty shots.
An amazing hole-in-the-wall, worth visiting despite the absence of Lenin.
First, I’d like to mention that the employed ladies are very nice and competent, beer is a plus. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is ruined by the owner, who evidently hates her business. After visiting with a group of friends and having a few beers, we literally spent a couple of minutes deciding. The owner came by and, despite empty tables inside, kicked us out. She stated that we were unnecessarily occupying space because money matters here, not just hanging out. A huge bad taste remains. The owner could learn from her staff. Despite having a huge sentiment for the place, I cannot recommend it.
I also do not recommend this place. We were there relatively early, and from the beginning, the restroom was a huge mess, completely soiled and broken as if no one from the staff ever checked it. It’s clear that nothing has been invested in the place for years.
The decor is specific, but surely it has its fans. A bit gloomy, but there's plenty of room, so you can adapt. The beer selection is rather poor, and on the taps, despite claims on the fun page about the beers made especially for Proletaryat, there were Czech lagers.
