I do not understand the phenomenon of this restaurant. We went there after reading that it is wonderful. The table was reserved for 14, but we were there fifteen minutes earlier and were rudely asked to leave by the waiter who said that we had to leave and come back at the agreed time. (It could have been done differently) Once we got the table and our dishes, the second disappointment. I do not know where such good opinions come from, because it did not taste good to us at all. Small portions that are not enough to eat, the pork cutlet was served in an disgusting way and tasteless, the potatoes were of the worst quality. Unfortunately, it was the first and last time. I also advise my acquaintances to avoid it.
Restaurant reviewnnVisiting this Polish restaurant, you can feel like at home – the taste and atmosphere are unbeatable. Tatar is particularly noteworthy, which is prepared perfectly, with gently seasoned meat and traditional additions. Pyra with gherkins, although a simple dish, delights with freshness and the perfect combination of flavors – creamy cottage cheese perfectly matches with warm potatoes. Also, dumplings deserve praise – both meat and vegetarian ones. The dough is thin, and the filling is aromatic and appropriately seasoned. The service is nice, with a lot of knowledge about the served dishes, they are happy to advise on the choice. The decor of the place refers to traditional Polish elements, which creates a cozy atmosphere. Prices are affordable, and portions are satisfying. This place is perfect for both a family lunch and a meeting with friends. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
A very nice restaurant, I often use it when I have guests from abroad. There is a lot of traffic, you need to book a table early. The service is impeccable, the food is tasty and, above all, traditionally Polish. I recommend!
'Wiejskie Jadło' – where the duck dances with the apple, and Soplica whispers in your ear...nnThere are places that stay in your memory like the refrain of a mazurka played under the eaves. And there are places where smoked bacon hangs from the ceiling like a crystal chandelier in a palace of taste. And then there is 'Wiejskie Jadło' – a culinary postcard from the Polish countryside, in the heart of Poznań's Market Square.nnAfter a full of humor evening at 'Artur Barciś Show' not only laughter, but also appetite in your soul. Then it's enough to turn into Franciszkańska, where a wooden sign with a rooster invites like an old comrade for a glass of something stronger.nnThe decor? Rustic, local, but with an elegant stew. As if the grandmother's room had brought a bit of its charm to the city. Wooden beams, pine branches, red ribbons and flickering candles on the tables create an atmosphere in which you want to sit for a longer time.nnSnacks? Bread with lard and pickled cucumber – a classic that opens the door to a real feast. Porcini mushrooms in cream and butter? Poetry that would not be ashamed of the Pan Tadeusz himself. Add a glass of Soplica Staropolska – noble, spicy and warming like a warm, woolen blanket.nnBorsch? Ruby, clear, fragrant with marjoram. Two sips and your soul calms down, like after a heartfelt hug from a loved one.nnMain course? Duck with apples, lingonberries and blue cabbage is a real spectacle of flavors. Juicy meat combines with the sweetness of fruits, and velvety cabbage wraps delicate pies like a soft pillow for taste buds. Every bite is a harmony – forest, tradition, mastery.nnFor dessert? Cherry pie – sweet, velvety and full of nostalgia. Like a kiss goodbye.nnService? Heartfelt, smiling, ready to advise and make everyone feel at home.nn'Wiejskie Jadło' is a place where time slows down, flavors tell stories, and Soplica whispers in your ear: 'Stay for a while longer'. If you have not been there yet – it's time to make up for it. For the sake of that duck. And borsch. And... just for that unique atmosphere.
The restaurant is a real gem for lovers of traditional, rural food! From the threshold, you can feel the homely atmosphere, and the interior, decorated in a rustic style, transports guests to a peaceful village. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes based on regional recipes and fresh, local ingredients, which makes each dish taste authentic and unique.nnThe service is extremely polite and helpful, always happy to advise on what is worth trying. I especially recommend żur in bread and schabowy kotlet – the meat is tender, and the flavors complement each other perfectly. The portions are solid, so no one will leave hungry.nnThis is an ideal place for a family lunch, a romantic dinner, or even a larger gathering. The restaurant offers a warm atmosphere and flavors that stay in your memory for a long time. We will definitely come back!
A great place, we managed to taste the food despite the fact that the restaurant is quite busy and there are many reservations. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the service is nice and the cherry on top as a compliment at the end improved my mood
Definitely the best golonka in Poznań, unfortunately my colleague's beef steak was a failure, it had to be replaced, which turned out to be not very outstanding. The service is full of professionalism and culture, the prices are normal, the portions are quite generous. I recommend making a reservation in advance.
It was an interesting experience. For the first time I ate practically on the street. In addition, the tables and chairs were tilted, so everything was at an angle. Something new in my life in terms of restaurant discoveries. In terms of service, it was nice and polite. The waiting time on the weekend was about 30 minutes. The dish was warm, fresh and tasty. I can definitely recommend this place. Just be careful with the guests next to the tables in the courtyard because they like to light a cigarette while you are eating your lunch.
The restaurant doesn't seem to be anything special when you walk past it, but it's definitely worth a visit. We found out about it on St. Martin's Day, when we had a great craving for goose. The service was very nice and polite. We managed to get a table outside. Each chair had a blanket to cover oneself with, and there were also large heaters, so despite the low temperature outside, nobody got cold. Our food arrived at the table quite quickly. The dough for the dumplings was very delicate and thin, and the goose was perfectly juicy and seasoned. Everything was served with cranberry sauce, which went great together. Along with the bill, we received a glass of vodka – a very nice gesture from the restaurant!
Delicious food in the very center of Poznań. At first, we were a bit worried that the restaurant located in the old town would be more focused on tourism than on the quality of food itself, but nothing could be further from the truth. Wiejskie Jadło serves meals of excellent quality, despite the rush in the restaurant, we were served very quickly. We ordered appetizers and the specialty 'rural niecka' for 4 people. I highly recommend it if you are in a group and want to try more dishes.
